How to Install Alliance Gator Nitro X Fine Joint Sand
Always refer to the latest Alliance Gator Nitro X Fine Joint Sand Technical Data Sheet (TDS) before installing. Installation will be easier with two people. Working time is approximately 45 minutes per section. Always test on a 4 sq ft area before proceeding to the full installation.
Critical pre-installation requirements: Temperature must be above 37°F (3°C). Drainage base only. Alliance Gator Nitro X Fine Joint Sand cannot be used on non drainage bases or overlays. Surface must be pre wet and kept wet throughout installation or staining may occur. There must be zero paver, stone, or tile movement. Any movement voids the warranty and will result in cracked joints.

Pre wet the entire paved surface thoroughly
Thoroughly wet the area to be jointed before opening any Alliance Gator Nitro X Fine Joint Sand pails. The surface must remain wet throughout the entire installation process. If the surface dries out at any point or if temperatures are high, rewet before continuing. Failure to keep the surface wet will cause Alliance Gator Nitro X Fine Joint Sand resin to bond to the surface rather than the joints, causing staining that is very difficult to remove.

Spread Alliance Gator Nitro X Fine Joint Sand and work into joints
Open the Alliance Gator Nitro X Fine Joint Sand pails and spread the contents over the wet paved surface. While wetting with a hose on shower setting, use a squeegee or broom to push the material diagonally across the surface and into the joints. The Rapid Flow Technology in Alliance Gator Nitro X Fine Joint Sand means the material flows into joints faster than older resin products, reducing squeegee effort significantly. Work within the 45 minute working time window per section.

Fill joints to correct depth and repeat
Alliance Gator Nitro X Fine Joint Sand joints should be filled to within 1/8 inch below the top surface of the paver or stone, or 1/8 inch below the chamfer edge. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until all joints are filled to the correct level. Shower rinse the surface between passes to remove excess material from the paver face.

Clean any remaining Alliance Gator Nitro X Fine Joint Sand residue from the paved surface by brushing and rinsing with water. For a smoother joint finish, use a suitable mason jointing tool to smooth the joint surface while the material is still in its curing phase. This finishing step can only be done after all joints are filled and the Alliance Gator Nitro X Fine Joint Sand is beginning to set.

Allow 18 hours before pedestrian use. Full strength at 28 days
Keep foot traffic off the Alliance Gator Nitro X Fine Joint Sand surface for 18 hours after installation. Full joint strength is achieved at 28 days. Always refer to the latest Alliance Gator Nitro X Fine Joint Sand Technical Data Sheet (TDS) before installing. Installation will be easier with two people. Working time is approximately 45 minutes per section. Always test on a 4 sq ft area before proceeding to the full installation.
Critical pre-installation requirements: Temperature must be above 37°F (3°C). Drainage base only. Alliance Gator Nitro X Fine Joint Sand cannot be used on non drainage bases or overlays. Surface must be pre wet and kept wet throughout installation or staining may occur. There must be zero paver, stone, or tile movement. Any movement voids the warranty and will result in cracked joints.

Pre wet the entire paved surface thoroughly
Thoroughly wet the area to be jointed before opening any Alliance Gator Nitro X Fine Joint Sand pails. The surface must remain wet throughout the entire installation process. If the surface dries out at any point or if temperatures are high, rewet before continuing. Failure to keep the surface wet will cause Alliance Gator Nitro X Fine Joint Sand resin to bond to the surface rather than the joints, causing staining that is very difficult to remove.

Spread Alliance Gator Nitro X Fine Joint Sand and work into joints
Open the Alliance Gator Nitro X Fine Joint Sand pails and spread the contents over the wet paved surface. While wetting with a hose on shower setting, use a squeegee or broom to push the material diagonally across the surface and into the joints. The Rapid Flow Technology in Alliance Gator Nitro X Fine Joint Sand means the material flows into joints faster than older resin products, reducing squeegee effort significantly. Work within the 45 minute working time window per section.

Fill joints to correct depth and repeat

For a smoother joint finish, use a suitable mason jointing tool to smooth the joint surface while the material is still in its curing phase. This finishing step can only be done after all joints are filled and the Alliance Gator Nitro X Fine Joint Sand is beginning to set.

How to Install Alliance Gator Nitro X Fine Joint Sand
Always refer to the latest Alliance Gator Nitro X Fine Joint Sand Technical Data Sheet (TDS) before installing. Installation will be easier with two people. Working time is approximately 45 minutes per section. Always test on a 4 sq ft area before proceeding to the full installation.
Critical pre-installation requirements: Temperature must be above 37°F (3°C). Drainage base only. Alliance Gator Nitro X Fine Joint Sand cannot be used on non drainage bases or overlays. Surface must be pre wet and kept wet throughout installation or staining may occur. There must be zero paver, stone, or tile movement. Any movement voids the warranty and will result in cracked joints.

Pre wet the entire paved surface thoroughly
Thoroughly wet the area to be jointed before opening any Alliance Gator Nitro X Fine Joint Sand pails. The surface must remain wet throughout the entire installation process. If the surface dries out at any point or if temperatures are high, rewet before continuing. Failure to keep the surface wet will cause Alliance Gator Nitro X Fine Joint Sand resin to bond to the surface rather than the joints, causing staining that is very difficult to remove.

Spread Alliance Gator Nitro X Fine Joint Sand and work into joints
Open the Alliance Gator Nitro X Fine Joint Sand pails and spread the contents over the wet paved surface. While wetting with a hose on shower setting, use a squeegee or broom to push the material diagonally across the surface and into the joints. The Rapid Flow Technology in Alliance Gator Nitro X Fine Joint Sand means the material flows into joints faster than older resin products, reducing squeegee effort significantly. Work within the 45 minute working time window per section.

Fill joints to correct depth and repeat
Alliance Gator Nitro X Fine Joint Sand joints should be filled to within 1/8 inch below the top surface of the paver or stone, or 1/8 inch below the chamfer edge. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until all joints are filled to the correct level. Shower rinse the surface between passes to remove excess material from the paver face.

Clean surface residue and finish joints
Clean any remaining Alliance Gator Nitro X Fine Joint Sand residue from the paved surface by brushing and rinsing with water. For a smoother joint finish, use a suitable mason jointing tool to smooth the joint surface while the material is still in its curing phase. This finishing step can only be done after all joints are filled and the Alliance Gator Nitro X Fine Joint Sand is beginning to set.
